Yamaha FGC-TA & FSC-TA Cutaway Added to Celebrated TransAcoustic Series

Yamaha have added two new acoustic guitars to its TransAcoustic® Series—both featuring cutaway body designs that allow players to easily access the entire fretboard. Combining classic craftsmanship with revolutionary technology, both of these instruments enable guitarists to play and sound their best—no matter where they are.

“The FGC-TA and FSC-TA models round out and enhance our TransAcoustic Series by providing players with cutaway body options for the first time,” said Shannon McKee, Product Marketing Manager, Yamaha Guitar Group. “Imagine being totally immersed in the sound of your acoustic guitar, hearing and feeling it reverberate around you as you play. That’s the experience you’ll have when playing our TransAcoustic guitars.”

The FGC-TA and FSC-TA guitars feature solid-spruce tops, mahogany backs and sides, and nato necks with rosewood fretboards. Exclusive Yamaha TransAcoustic technology provides onboard reverb and chorus effects that resonate from within the body of the instrument itself, creating a rich, resonant, and inspiring playing environment—all without the need for an amp or additional gear. The instruments are also fitted with Yamaha SRT® piezo pickups and endpin jacks, allowing them to be used as acoustic-electric guitars. Three simple controls adjust the effects levels and line out volume level.

The FGC-TA has a Traditional Western-style body with cutaway and is available in Vintage Tint, Brown Sunburst, and Black finishes. The FSC-TA has a concert-size body with cutaway and is available in Vintage Tint, Brown Sunburst, and Ruby Red finishes.
