Faith Guitars are delighted to announce the USA and International launch of the Blue Moon Mercury acoustic guitar at NAMM 2024 – to be showcased at Faith’s booths 6610 and 5114.
Taking its position within the renowned Blue Moon Series, the new Mercury Blue Moon (SKU# FMEBLM-BNC) is a classic short-scale parlour model crafted from Solid Figured Java Mango tonewoods across the top, back, and sides. It features a Flamed Maple binding, Macassan Figured Ebony fittings, and a Mahogany neck paired with a Macassan Figured Ebony fingerboard.
The Solid Java body wood boasts a translucent blue/indigo finish that accentuates the beautifully varied flamed grains and is further enhanced by an all-over high gloss finish, creating a visually stunning acoustic guitar. To facilitate easier access to upper frets, it incorporates a ‘BNC Scoop’ mini cutaway, a feature initially requested by the award-winning Nashville singer-songwriter Beth Neilsen Chapman, who has chosen Faith Mercury guitars throughout her career.
Tonally, players can expect a unique and interesting character from the Blue Moon Mercury. Not as loud and punchy as rosewood nor as straightforwardly mellow as mahogany – it bears its own distinctive warmth. The overall tone could be described as dark and moody. With reduced levels of resonant overtones, the Blue Moon Mercury is eminently controllable, balanced and resistant to feedback.
Onboard electronics are taken care of by the refined, low-profile Fishman INK3 preamp system with the Sonicore piezo pickup located under the saddle.
Attendees at The NAMM Show can get hands on with the Faith Blue Moon Mercury at the Barnes & Mullins booth – Faith’s parent company – located at booth 6610 and are invited to view the comprehensive range of guitars at Faith’s USA distribution partners, MusicMax Distribution, at booth 5114.
