John Smith, widely acclaimed as one of the finest acoustic guitarists in the UK, has a new album Hummingbird, scheduled for release in October.
Blending traditional Folk songs with self-penned material, Smith’s playing is exemplary, following the lead set by fellow British players including John Martyn and Richard Thompson. A Fylde user, he blends fingerstyle and slide styles with ease and has built a significant following internationally, having previously released five albums with over 10 million Spotify streams.
Hummingbird will be released 5 October in Europe and in early 2019 in the rest of the world on his own imprint, Commoner Records, via Thirty Tigers worldwide.
