Rob & Ragnar Unplugged at The UK Bass and Guitar Show

In association with Ovation Guitars, Rob Marcello and Ragnar Zolberg will be appearing at The UK Bass & Guitar Show at the ACC Liverpool on the 2 & 3 April 2022.

Rob Marcello

Swedish-born Rob Marcello started playing guitar at the age of 11; today he is known not only for his breathtaking speed when playing, but also for his feeling for melodies and timing. Rob put all his eggs into one basket early on and travelled to the United States with nothing but his guitar to try his luck. It paid off; in 2003, Rob became the lead guitarist of the band Danger Danger. He has also been seen with The Defiants and the Poodles. However, he never committed himself exclusively to the metal and hard rock genres; in numerous other bands and solo projects he has shown that he feels comfortable in the jazz genre.

The Ovation/GEWA Unplugged Tour in 2019 showed that Rob and Ragnar work well together. As a duo they play their personal, but also universally-known rock classics with a completely new interpretation. Unique vocals, paired with virtuoso guitar playing and a good dose of dry Scandinavian humour bring optimal entertainment and prove that good songs do not always need a big fuss to blow the audience away.

Ragnar Zolberg

At the young age of 11, Icelandic singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ragnar Zolberg released his first album, “Upplifun”.

At 14 years old he founded the band Sign in 2000. With Sign, he also gained his first international experience as an opener for bands such as Wednesday 13, The Wildhearts, The Answer, Skid Row, Alice Cooper and Whitesnake.

From 2011 – 2017 he was a composer, lead guitarist and the second vocalist for the Swedish band Pain of Salvation, showcasing his talents on the critically acclaimed album “In The Passing Light Of Day”.

After leaving the band, Ragnar continued to release solo material.
